This page explains what information Proof & Praise collects when you visit, and how it's used. This site is a personal recipe blog — the short version is that we collect very little, and never sell anything we do collect.

Comments

Guest comments on recipe posts are handled by a third-party service, Cusdis. If you leave a comment, the nickname and (optional) email address you enter are stored on Cusdis's servers, not ours, and are used only to display your comment and let you know of replies. Comments are reviewed before they appear publicly.

Ratings

The star rating widget on each recipe stores your rating (just the number of stars and a timestamp) in a Firebase database. No name, email, or other personal information is attached to a rating. Your browser remembers locally that you've already voted on a recipe, so you can't vote twice, but that record stays on your device and isn't sent to us.

Cookies and similar technology

This site doesn't run its own tracking or advertising cookies. The Pinterest "Save" button that appears on recipe photos is loaded from Pinterest and may set its own cookies if you interact with it — that's governed by Pinterest's own privacy policy, not ours.

Hosting

Proof & Praise is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard web server logs (like IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This is normal for any website and isn't used by us to identify individual visitors.

Affiliate links

Some posts contain Amazon affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon's own privacy policy governs any data collected once you leave this site.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change too.
